This tablet is exactly what I was looking for. It seems well built and has run everything I've tried so far. Android 4 is great and Google Play makes it very easy to find, download and buy apps. Loads of free stuff available and some good quality paid versions around now. If you already have a Google account you're straight in.

The BBC iPlayer works really well, as does Amazon's Kindle app. I was worried that the lowish res of the screen might be an issue but the tablet works well as an e-reader and, of course, allows you to view pictures and diagrams in colour. The screen is actually fine for this size of tablet. It might not have the silky sensitivity or visual 'zing' of top-end models but touch control works fine and movie playback is really good. The built in speaker is louder than I expected, although not exactly hifi, and audio quality through headphones is very good. The front facing camera is low res by today's standards and only designed for Skype.

The mini usb port recognises my pen drives using the supplied adapter cable and I found it can also be used to attach an external keyboard if you want to do serious typing. The android screen keyboard is fine for notes and emails. File transfer to and from a pc using a usb cable works normally. The only thing that doesn't work as expected is that the tablet doesn't seem to charge via usb, although it does display a charging icon. This may be a cable issue but I did use the one supplied. The mains charger is fine but uses an uncommon, narrow connector.

This aside, I'm still awarding it 5 stars. The price is tremendous, especially with 1GB RAM, the ordering process was straightforward and the tablet was delivered by courier in about 3 days. No long wait for it coming from the far east. That gives me confidence that this supplier can be trusted and will give me support if it's needed.
